Joanna Radomska of WUEB awarded the title of professor

On 6 August 2026, the President of the Republic of Poland conferred the title of professor in the social sciences, in the discipline of management and quality studies, on dr hab. Joanna Radomska, Professor of the WUEB. The decision was published on 16 September 2026 in Monitor Polski, item 915. 

Professor Joanna Radomska has worked at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (WUEB) since 2011 in the Department of Strategic Management at the Faculty of Business and Management. She obtained her doctorate at the University in 2011 and her habilitation in 2018. During 2019-2024 she was a Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management.  

Professor Radomska’s research interests include strategy implementation and its associated operational risks, marketing channel integration and practices of open strategy, which involves greater transparency and broader participation by employees and other stakeholders. The creative industries, collaboration between organisations and family business are also prominent areas of her research. 

She has authored or co-authored more than 80 journal articles and book chapters.  Her papers were published in Review of Managerial Science, Technology in Society, Games and Culture, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management and Journal of Family Business Strategy. Since 2025, she has served as an Associate Editor in the Journal of Strategy and Management. 

Professor Radomska led 2 National Science Centre projects: ‘Impact of organizational capabilities and industry drivers on the level of marketing channels integration’ and ‘Operational risk associated with the strategy implementation. Model approach.’ She is also involved in GAMEHEARTS, an international Horizon Europe project examining the economic, social and cultural value of the European video game ecosystem. 

In 2026, a paper she co-authored with Professor Patrycja Klimas, dr Aleksandra Szpulak and Professor Wojciech Czakon of the Jagiellonian University received the Best Paper Award in the Strategy track at the ACIEK conference in Málaga. The paper concerns the measurement of innovation among European video game developers and is one of the outputs of GAMEHEARTS.
