Social responsibility of science

The object of the Social Responsibility of Science program is to support entities of the higher education and science system and other organizational units working for the dissemination of science in the implementation of projects aimed at popularizing science and projects related to the maintenance of library resources of significant importance to science or its heritage.

The program consists of modules:

“Popularization of science“- within which there is support for the implementation of projects involving:
– popularization of scientific achievements, work of scientists, scientific research and development works and promotion of science,
– organization of undertakings demonstrating the usefulness of scientific knowledge in everyday life,
– organization of undertakings aimed at disseminating the traditions of the academic community,
– popularization of innovative solutions in science and higher education.
“Support for scientific libraries” – under which there is support for projects to maintain library resources of national importance to science or its heritage, develop them and make them available in electronic form.

Details of the program

Projects funded under the Social Responsibility of Science program “Support for scientific libraries”

“Dissemination of the contents of the journal Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu.”

The aim of the project is to popularize the contents of the Scientific Papers of the Wroclaw University of Economics from 2008-2011 on the open Internet.

Content dissemination is expected to influence:

Faster retrieval of professional literature,
Recognition of the authors and dissemination of the results of published research,
Increasing the citability of the journal’s authors,
Promotion and development of the journal Scientific Works in Wroclaw.

The project is consistently in line with the idea of openness of science as one that is closely related to responsible, broad dissemination of research results to all interested parties.

The results of the project were presented in the form of a promotional video.
