Professor of agricultural sciences; habilitated doctor of agricultural sciences in the field of food technology and human nutrition. She supports management boards of food, biotech and municipal companies in the transition to a circular economy (CE): mapping and valorising by-product streams, designing upcycling solutions, conducting circularity/ESG audits and market/consumer-acceptance research. She also prepares and manages R&D projects with external funding (NCBR, PARP, Horizon Europe).
Her research focuses on valorisation of by-products from the food industry, food upcycling, and the development of business models within CE and sustainable food systems. Independent expert for: the European Commission and NCBR (since 2010), PARP, and the Romanian Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding (since 2012). Vice-Chair of the Board of the Committee of Commodity Science / Quality Sciences (2023–2026) at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), Poznań Branch.
