Our scientific impact is the basis of many additional activities of the University

The Lower Silesian Science Festival is an event aimed at disseminating science, inspiring scientific discovery, building a community interested in science, and supporting intellectual and social development.

Our university is one of the largest organizers of the Lower Silesian Science Festival. Every year we prepare dozens of scientific events for science enthusiasts aged four to a hundred.

The Lower Silesian Science Festival at our University in Wroclaw took place from September 18-22, 2023. Thanks to the staff of our University, festival visitors entered the fascinating world of research, experiments and experiments!

Innovation Night is an innovative event in the field of popularization of science and implementation – aimed at both students and employees, as well as all those interested in the topic of innovation in its broadest sense.

October 20, 2023 Participants in the event attended an evening full of surprises and inspiring workshops:

“The icing on the cake” for all event participants was the tasting of impressive molecular gastronomy dishes.

Impakt Dolny Śląsk is a quarterly Think Tank of the Wroclaw University of Economics operating under the same name, addressed to both public entities and the Lower Silesian business community, as well as all audiences interested in the socio-economic development of Lower Silesia.

The purpose of the journal is to diagnose challenges and provide up-to-date analyses of particular importance to the society of Wroclaw, Lower Silesia and Poland, based on the results of scientific research conducted at the Wroclaw University of Economics, as well as to initiate discussions on economic issues and create solutions in the area of knowledge transfer between the scientific sector, public entities and businesses.

The authors of the publication are both employees of the Wroclaw University of Economics and representatives of the business community, local government or journalists specializing in economic issues.

The Economic Children’s University is a nationwide project of economic education for children run by the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Directions in Warsaw in cooperation with the Wroclaw University of Economics and other universities.

The idea of the Economic Children’s University is to popularize knowledge and build economic awareness, as well as develop entrepreneurial attitudes and behavior among children from an early age. EUD’s educational offer is aimed at students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of elementary school

The Academy of the Young Economist is a nationwide economic education program run by the Foundation for the Promotion and Accreditation of Economic Degrees in cooperation with the Wroclaw University of Economics and other universities.

Students are invited to participate in AME:

  • grades 7. and 8. elementary school
  • grades 1. and 2. secondary schools

The venture aims to promote entrepreneurship among young people and encourage them to take a closer interest in economic issues and develop teamwork skills.

Participation in the project is free of charge. The only restriction is the year of birth (2005-2009).

Classes are held in a semester cycle. Each semester consists of six meetings, each lasting two class hours. Meetings are implemented on certain Mondays from 18:00-19:30.

The Wroclaw University of Economics created a unique opportunity for high school students to participate in specially prepared lectures, exercises and academic meetings.

The project aims to familiarize high school graduates with the specifics of studying economics, with a special focus on the unique climate of our University.

Young people even before matriculation can not only learn about the educational offerings of universities, but also about educational methods, career prospects and student life thanks to:

  • classes taught by the university’s research and teaching staff (Knowledge Leaders),
  • lectures with business practitioners, graduates of the University (Leaders of Success),
  • Meetings with students involved in organizations and study circles (Activity Leaders).

The goal of the TW University of the Third Age is to activate seniors and include them in the system of continuing education, as well as care for the preservation and enlargement of their intellectual, mental and physical fitness.

Our students attend auditorium lectures in various fields of knowledge, acquire computer and foreign language skills, and participate in sports activities. In addition, they shape their skills in memory training and art workshops.

UTW students integrate and develop their interests in 17 sections of interest such as: “APASJONATA” CHOIR, HAIKU SECTION, CULTURE AND ART SECTION, MEDICAL SECTION, POETRY LOVERS SECTION, FASHION AND BEAUTY SECTION, ORGANIZATION AND INFORMATION SECTION, NATURE AND GARDENING SECTION, SPORTS SECTION, TOURIST SECTION, VOLUNTEER SECTION, COOPERATION WITH EXTERNAL ORGANIZATIONS AND FINANCE SECTION, EXHIBITION SECTION, LIVE WORD SECTION, “READERS” BOOK SECTION, ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY SECTION and USEFUL ART SECTION.
