Patrycja Klimas, Professor of Management and Quality Sciences, Wroclaw University of Economics and Business

On July 30, 2025, Professor Patrycja Klimas received her professorial nomination certificate from the President of the Republic of Poland. The academic title was formally granted in March 2024. Professor Klimas is affiliated with the Department of Advanced Management Research.

Her research interests focus on inter-organizational collaboration, coopetition, and the functioning of innovation ecosystems – particularly within the high-tech and creative industries. In her academic work, she integrates qualitative and quantitative approaches, contributing to the development of advanced research methodologies in the social sciences.

Professor Klimas’s publication record includes highly cited articles in leading international journals such as Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Research, Technology in Society, Review of Managerial Science, and European Management Journal.

She has led numerous research projects funded by the National Science Centre of Poland and the European Commission. Her work informs regional development policies, innovation strategies, and digital education initiatives. Among her applied research activities, she collaborated with the City of Katowice on the development of the Gaming and Technology Hub – a project designed to foster innovation ecosystems and digital entrepreneurship at the local level.

Professor Klimas actively contributes to the academic community through editorial roles in international journals and by conducting training sessions and workshops in the field of social research methodology.
