Academic success: Dr Milena Kowalska appointed NAWA expert

We are proud to report a prestigious distinction for a member of our University. On 14 July 2026 Dr Milena Kowalska was officially appointed to the Evaluation Team for Academic Exchange and the Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools at the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

The appointment, made under Ordinance No. 35/2026 of the Director of NAWA, is a direct expression of recognition for Dr Kowalska’s knowledge and professional experience. As a member of the Team, she will carry out demanding expert tasks, supporting the Agency’s key activities in developing international academic exchange and raising the standards of internationalisation of doctoral schools in Poland.

In the official letter, the Deputy Director of NAWA, Dr Łukasz Gołota, expressed his conviction that Dr Kowalska’s competences will contribute to the effective delivery of the goals set for the Evaluation Team.

The presence of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business researchers on such significant national bodies confirms the high expert standing of our staff and the University’s real influence on shaping science policy in Poland.
