We are pleased to announce that Dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Orkusz, Associate Professor at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, has been appointed as the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) Ambassador to Poland.

The Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) is an international organisation dedicated to fostering the harmonisation of actions and standards in the fields of food safety, nutrition and public health. GHI brings together more than 2,000 members from over 70 countries and conducts expert activities through 21 working groups. The organisation promotes cooperation between academia, public institutions and food-sector stakeholders, while also disseminating evidence-based solutions grounded in scientific research.
In her role as GHI Ambassador to Poland, Dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Orkusz, Associate Professor at the WUEB, will support the dissemination of knowledge on food safety and nutrition, further develop collaboration with scientific and expert communities, promote the participation of Polish specialists in GHI activities, and enhance the availability of selected GHI resources in the Polish language. These activities will also include conference participation, science communication, and expert engagement focused on global food safety standards, next-generation foods, and sustainable food systems.
Her appointment represents recognition of the scholarly achievements and international engagement of Dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Orkusz, Associate Professor at the WUEB, and strengthens the University’s visibility within the international debate on food safety, nutrition, and innovation in the agri-food sector.
