The National Centre for Research and Development selected 100 participants from 708 applications for the first, training and mentoring phase of the LIDER UP programme. Dr inż. Szymon Juchniewicz is developing NeuroPhysioFuelGel, a concept involving structurally designed emulgels for sports nutrition, metabolic and cognitive performance, and recovery. The programme includes at least 36 hours of training and 10 hours of individual mentoring; completing this phase will enable participants to apply for up to PLN 2.5 million in project funding.

In his commentary for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, dr hab. Artur Klimek, Professor of the WUEB, examines waning interest in cryptocurrencies and the mechanisms supporting their valuation. He argues that bitcoin lacks the identifiable fundamentals used in conventional financial analysis, while its value depends primarily on whether another market participant is willing to pay a higher price. He also notes that investors seeking quick returns may shift their attention to other risky instruments, including prediction markets.

A recurring survey conducted by Nieruchomosci-online.pl and WUEB involved 1,521 estate agents from across Poland. Stable asking prices are expected by 52 per cent of respondents for studio flats, almost 48 per cent for larger flats, 53 per cent for building plots and 55 per cent for detached houses. The findings point to a more predictable secondary market: buyers have more time to decide, while sellers should expect negotiations and the need to set realistic asking prices.

One part of this picture is labour migration: 11,500 work permits were issued in Lower Silesia last year.
