Pawe\u0142 Dobrza\u0144ski.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Prices vs. reputation: why share gains aren\u2019t guaranteed<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lower transaction prices pull some buyers back into showrooms. However, rapid share gains may not be sustained if brand reputation and proven product lifecycles remain decisive, especially in Western Europe. This nuance appeared throughout the debate.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>From monthly payments to materials: the real bottleneck<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conversation moved from retail pricing to inputs. <strong>China\u2019s dominance in processing rare-earth elements &#8211; vital for electric motors and batteries and talk of tighter export rules raise the risk of a domino effect in European supply chains<\/strong>. The pandemic lesson &#8211; \u201cfive missing parts halt the line\u201d still applies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Three actions prof. Dobrza\u0144ski highlights<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Diversify sources of critical materials <\/strong>(e.g., the US, Australia, select African markets, Greenland) to reduce single-point exposure.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>EU-level, fast, coordinated decisions<\/strong>. Tariffs alone won\u2019t help if Europe lacks end-to-end materials and processing capacity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stable rules for R&amp;D<\/strong>. Predictable frameworks to finance research in powertrains, materials and electronics, so Europe competes on quality\u2014not subsidies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Lower Silesia: first to feel the shock<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lower Silesia hosts a dense network of automotive suppliers and assembly. <strong>If critical-metal tension bites, regions like this will feel it first: curtailed output, contractual penalties for delays, and thinner development budgets<\/strong>. Hence, there is a need for a contingency plan for raw materials and clear investment priorities.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Defence spillovers<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If restrictions hit defence, where advanced materials demand is highest, the pressure would extend beyond civilian markets<\/strong>. Panellists converged on this point: the issue is no longer \u201ca cheaper SUV on a lease\u201d but economic security and resilience.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Today\u2019s buyer, tomorrow\u2019s strategy<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leasing and long-term rental make EV adoption easier and cap residual &#8211; value risk.
