The think-tank will conduct research and analysis, and publish reports and recommendations on issues central to higher education, public policy and the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Scope and themes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workstreams will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>models for the development of economic universities and research funding,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>digitalisation, artificial intelligence and the 5.0 economy,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sustainable development and ESG,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>international cooperation and ranking visibility,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>relations between academia, business and society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">\u201cEvidence first\u201d approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As noted by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/wir.ue.wroc.pl\/info\/author\/WUT288558\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prof. Marek Ko\u015bny<\/a>, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Economics in Wroc\u0142aw<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-default is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"border-top-style:none;border-top-width:0px;border-right-style:none;border-right-width:0px;border-bottom-style:none;border-bottom-width:0px;border-left-color:var(--wp--preset--color--ast-global-color-1);border-left-width:4px;padding-top:0;padding-bottom:0\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWe want to support the financing of research-both in obtaining funds and ensuring stable funding within universities. Given recent economic challenges, support remains insufficient, so we are not asking for money without justification; we want to present specific reasons showing these would be funds best spent.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">The strength of a community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new <strong>think-tank draws on the expertise of around 2,000 economists<\/strong>, positioning it as an advisory partner for academia, public administration and business. Its stated values are <strong>truth, cooperation and professionalism<\/strong>. Founding rectors emphasise that the think-tank reflects the universities\u2019 shared responsibility for the future of education, the economy and society. Reports will diagnose challenges and propose actionable, implementable recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">First reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the founding act was signed in <strong>September 2025<\/strong> at the <strong>Economic Forum in Karpacz<\/strong>, cooperation has been ongoing for some time. One report was prepared even before the formal launch.
