Experts from shipbuilding, digital logistics, defence and administration shared case studies and technological insights covering smart vessels, port automation and protection of critical infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants emphasised the importance of joint initiatives linking academia, business and public institutions to enhance Poland\u2019s maritime competitiveness on the global stage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof. Barbara Mr\u00f3z-Gorgo\u0144 among international experts&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>The line-up featured leading industry voices:<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arild Skoge<\/strong>, Head of Marketing and Business Development, Kongsberg Defence &amp; Aerospace (Norway), spoke about integrating digital innovation with shipbuilding traditions.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr hab. Barbara Mr\u00f3z-Gorgo\u0144<\/strong>, Professor at the Wroclaw University of Economic and Business and President of Fundacja Marka Polska Think Tank, brought the perspective of branding and communication strategy to the maritime context.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr hab. in\u017c. \u0141ukasz Kulas<\/strong>, Coordinator of the Centre for Digital Technologies at Gda\u0144sk University of Technology, discussed IoT and cyber-physical systems for smart ships.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr in\u017c. Mateusz Weryk<\/strong>, R&amp;D Director at the Ship Technology Centre, presented research on autonomous vessel design.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rados\u0142aw Ga\u0142ka<\/strong>, CEO of Dig in Vision Sp. z o.o., demonstrated AI-based visualisation tools for logistics and maritime operations.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The panel was moderated by Pawe\u0142 \u0141opatka<\/strong>, Managing Director of Experis Poland \u2013 ManpowerGroup, and supported by Pracodawcy RP, representing the business community\u2019s engagement in maritime innovation.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>The WUEB perspective<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prof. Mr\u00f3z-Gorgo\u0144\u2019s participation underscored WUEB&#8217;s contribution to the international conversation on the digital transformation of the maritime economy. As an expert in branding, marketing, and strategic communication, she highlighted the need to connect research and business practice, especially in developing maritime brands that combine technological excellence with responsible communication.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She noted that \u201cbridging academia and industry is crucial \u2013 effective use of AI and digital supply chains requires both technological literacy and a deep understanding of branding processes.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her presence reinforced UEW\u2019s role in advancing expertise on brand reputation, strategy and responsible innovation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Maritime dialogue for the economy of the future&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the University of Economics in Wroc\u0142aw, participation in events like BALTEXPO aligns with its mission as a \u201cuniversity for practice\u201d \u2013 translating research into real-world solutions. The 2025 fair confirmed that sustainable maritime growth depends on cooperation across academia, business and policy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Discussions on smart ships, port automation and cybersecurity reflect a forward-looking agenda in which Polish institutions can play a defining role.
