In the age of artificial intelligence, the boundary between truth and falsehood is disappearing at unprecedented speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Social Media \u2013 the Primary Channel of Disinformation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the research cited by the professor, in 2024 it was <strong>Facebook (57%)<\/strong> and <strong>X\/Twitter (45%)<\/strong> that dominated in spreading false information. Instagram and TikTok are also platforms where fake news circulates, although their short formats somewhat limit the scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike traditional media, social platforms lack editors and filtering mechanisms. As a result, fake news spreads faster and more widely than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Education as the Protective Shield<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Prof. Jajuga\u2019s view, <strong>the only sustainable solution lies in education, beginning as early as preschool.<\/strong> Children and young people must be taught how to verify sources, recognize manipulation, and develop critical thinking skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equally <strong>important are legal regulations regarding hate speech and fake news. <\/strong>The lack of accountability for spreading lies or hatred leads to social tragedies.
